Glanadda School was founded in 1888 and is situated on Caernarfon Road. The school was built after the introduction of the railway in 1848. All the men working on the railway would live in Caernarfon Road and the school was there for the children of the railway men. In 1901 the school expanded with the introduction of the top school as the amount of children attended Glanadda School increased. In 1988, the school had a special reunion to celebrate 100 years of it's success.
