A village school closed in the 1960's as far as I can remember. When I first went to Urquhart school, Mr Wilson was headmaster, teachers were Miss Grant and Mrs Anderson. Mrs Anderson taught my Mum as well as my great Uncle. Mr Nicholson followed Mr Wilson as Headmaster. Every summer we used to go to Nairn for our school picnic. We had school dinners which came from Garmouth cooked by Mrs McConachie. Lesley Ridley
